NCAA Requirements and Resources

In addition to being and outstanding football player, in order to play football at the next level athletes must meet eligibility requirements.  Make sure you  understand the grades needed in order to be eligible to play and receive athletic scholarships.  All athletes need to register with the NCAA clearing house, the earlier an athlete registers the earlier he/she can find out about their collegiate eligibility status.

• NCAA Division I CORE GPA Requirements - (CORE classes are English/Math/Science/Social Studies/Foreign Language)
  • 2.3 Core GPA = Full qualifer
  • 2.0 Core GPA = Academic redshirt 
• NCAA Division II CORE GPA Requirements
  • 2.2 Core GPA = Full qualifier
  • 2.0 Core GPA = Academic redshirt
• 10 total CORE credits at the END of Junior year
• 16 total CORE credits at graduation
